About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager / General Manager to join our award-winning fine dining restaurant in Somerset West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control staff to ensure high levels of service quality
- Maintain strong knowledge of signature wines, artisan beers, and trending alcoholic beverages
- Oversee stock management, financial profitability, and GP targets
- Drive and motivate quality service standards
- Utilize Point of Sale and operating systems efficiently
- Implement effective business and financial controls
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and owners to achieve joint goals
- Self-motivate to reach personal targets and incentives
Requirements
- Strengths in managing and controlling staff
- Strong knowledge of signature wines, artisan beers, and trending alcoholic beverages
- Proven ability in managing stocks, financial profitability, and GP targets
- Ability to drive, train, and motivate quality service standards
- Highly efficient and up-to-date on Point of Sale and operating systems
- Strong F&B Cost Control Skills
- Highly proficient in business and financial controls
- Effective and efficient communicator
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
