About the Role
An established legal practice is urgently seeking a skilled Senior Litigation Secretary to join their team. This role starts as a temporary placement with the intention to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Fast and accurate dictation typing
- Proofreading, editing, and formatting legal documents
- Assisting with litigation and commercial legal work
- Managing document formatting, cross-citations, and tracked changes in MS Word
- Scheduling and communication via Outlook, Zoom, and MS Teams
- Supporting transcription processes and ensuring quality output
Requirements
- Litigation and commercial law background
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills
- First-language English with strong matric results; tertiary language studies advantageous
- Strong technical skills, particularly in:
- MS Word (track changes, formatting, citations)
- MS Outlook (calendar management, read receipts)
- Online meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams)
