About the Role
We are partnering with a new intimate Bush Camp in Zambia to recruit an experienced and passionate Assistant Lodge General Manager. The ideal candidate will be a grounded, hands-on leader who can bring stability to a new opening, support the GM in building a cohesive team, and confidently represent the lodge with guests, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as 2IC on a remote property
- Support digital marketing and brand presence
- Build and maintain robust systems and routines
- Engage with guests, local communities, and senior stakeholders
- Lead, motivate, and upskill diverse teams
- Develop and implement HR processes and labour basics
- Manage day-to-day lodge operations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in luxury safari lodge or boutique hotel operations
- At least 2–3 years in a similar role
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or similar (essential for visa purposes)
- Strong working knowledge of ResRequest, TallOrder, and integrated accounting or ERP platforms
