About the Role
The successful candidate will be an Assistant Engineer’s Representative for our national roads projects in the Eastern Cape region. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our engineers to administer and supervise road maintenance and construction contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineer in administering and supervising road maintenance and construction contracts
- Ensure compliance with contract documentation, specifications and quality standards
- Monitor contractor performance, labour-based methods and site progress
- Prepare site reports, measurements and documentation as required
- Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and the Engineer on site-related matters
Requirements
Professional ECSA registration as a PrTech/PrTechni A Civil Engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary institution
Minimum 5 years experience working on national roads projects
Labour Intensive Construction NQF 5 (non-negotiable)
Proficient in preparing programmes including monitoring, updating and tracking progress
Proven experience in the supervision, monitoring and execution of labour-based road works
