About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Johannesburg, with a focus on developing scalable and clean architecture solutions for our dealer application. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing backend Java code, service orchestration via Kafka, and API-first design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of front end for the dealer application
- Implementing backend Java code
- Implementing service orchestration via Kafka
- Implementing development of common libraries and antifactory deploy for usage across the bank group
- Bug fixing and code optimization
- Dev Test and ensuring conformity to set standards
- Deployment of artifacts
- Liaising with Testers for feedback
Requirements
- Development skills: Java, front end development (UI technology exposure is a plus)
- Experience in backend Java code implementation
- Knowledge of service orchestration via Kafka
- API-first design principles
- Unit testing best practices
- Hexagonal architecture
Qualifications
- Matric
- Completed Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6 -8 years’ experience as a Java Developer
- 1-2 years’ experience in the lead/architectural role (highly advantageous)
