About the Role
A prominent and growing hospitality group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join their finance team. Based at the group’s Head Office in Wynberg, JHB, this role is central to the financial management of a diverse portfolio of restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and consolidated reports for the group.
- Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow across multiple restaurant units to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide detailed analysis of budget-vs-actual performance.
- Ensure full compliance with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and other relevant statutory requirements and filings.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk.
Requirements
- Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) – non-neg.
- 2–4 years of post-article experience, preferably within the retail, FMCG, or hospitality sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or Sage).
