About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join a luxury safari camp located in the heart of the Timbavati. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative culinary professional who thrives in a remote, high-end hospitality environment and enjoys delivering exceptional dining experiences in the bush.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality meals for guests and staff in line with lodge standards
- Plan and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and local produce
- Maintain stock levels, place orders, and manage kitchen inventory
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are consistently followed
- Collaborate with lodge management and service teams to deliver a seamless guest dining experience
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef in a lodge or hospitality environment
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for flavour and presentation
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently in a remote location
- Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and stock management
- Creative and flexible approach to menu planning and dietary requirements
- Team player with excellent communication skills

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R8,000 – R9,000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience)
