About the Role
HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our luxury lodge in Botswana, where you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the kitchen team to produce menus and food items with attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to various dietary and religious requirements, including African cuisine.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of menu planning, inventory management, and staff performance.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in the Culinary Arts or similar
- 5-8 Years previous senior chef experience in a medium to large lodge/hotel
- Previous lodge experience preferred
- African experience is a must
- Food Hygiene and professional cooking qualifications
