About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Head Chef to join our prestigious Safari Lodge team, located in the stunning Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda. As an integral part of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences that delight our diverse clientele from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect the lodge’s commitment to excellence and cater to a diverse range of international tastes.
  • Manage, train, and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences consistently.
  • Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall guest experience, contributing to the lodge’s reputation for outstanding hospitality.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a pristine kitchen environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong background in international cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote location and adapt to the unique challenges it presents.
