About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Farm Foreman to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff and livestock, and ensuring the smooth running of all production activities. With at least 5 years of experience as a farm foreman, you will bring valuable expertise and leadership skills to our operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily farm operations, including managing staff and livestock
  • Manage equipment use, servicing, and repairs
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and inventory systems
  • Compile and submit daily reports to management
  • Enforce safety and compliance protocols across all farm activities
  • Manage and optimize crop production
  • Lead pest and disease prevention and treatment programs
  • Administer orchard spraying and fertilisation schedules
  • Supervise and train farm labourers to maximise productivity
  • Assist the Farm Manager with financial management and improving budgets

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years farm foreman experience
  • Ability to supervise and communicate effectively and fairly to staff
  • Physical fitness, able to work on your feet all day
  • Excellent vision
  • Reliable and can work unsupervised
  • Cooperative and works well in a team
  • Full Driver’s Licence
  • Can set up and operate a sprayer
  • Grow Safe certification or willingness to train
  • Ability to identify and monitor tree and soil health
