About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic couple for a senior leadership role at an award-winning Lodge in Tanzania. The successful couple will take full ownership of an exceptional, multi-faceted property that delivers a world-class luxury hospitality experience. We require a balanced partnership where both individuals contribute to operational excellence, guest experience, and team leadership within a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full lodge operations including guest experience, rooms division, F&B, wellness, and activities
  • Lead; mentor, and develop a large, diverse team with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and retention
  • Drive financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and CAPEX planning
  • Oversee procurement, stock control, and supplier relationship
  • Ensure exceptional service standards and continuous enhancement of the guest experience
  • Manage sales, marketing, and reservations functions, including agent relationships and brand positioning
  • Oversee infrastructure maintenance, project management, and operational systems
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, licensing, and labour laws
  • Build strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and repeat guests
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and responsible tourism practices across the property

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing a boutique luxury lodge or similar operation
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, or Business Management
  • Experience gained in Tanzania is preferred
  • Strong all-round operational knowledge across rooms division, F&B, and lodge systems
  • Proven leadership and team development capability within a remote environment

Salary & Benefits

  • Gross salary: $5,000 – $6,000 per person per month for the couple, based on experience.
