About the Role
Nelson Mandela University is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join their communications and marketing team on a 6-month contract basis. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual communication and marketing materials that support the university’s strategic goals and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently develop and execute creative design projects across various media in line with approved briefs.
- Produce innovative visual materials that are aligned with project objectives and brand requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, brand-compliant design outputs in accordance with corporate identity standards and agreed deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand communication needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Interpret design briefs and provide professional design recommendations informed by best practice.
- Deliver design solutions that meet or exceed client expectations through effective communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent (BTech/Advanced Diploma preferred)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) on Mac systems
- Minimum 35 years professional experience in graphic design, preferably within a marketing, communications, or branding environment
- Demonstrated experience producing creative work across both print and digital media
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent (BTech/Advanced Diploma preferred)
