About the Role
Join our team as a Guide Instructor and play a key role in shaping the next generation of nature guides through immersive, field-based training. Working for a leading wilderness education provider in Southern Africa, you’ll deliver hands-on instruction in ecology, wildlife tracking, and guiding skills, while mentoring students to develop the knowledge, confidence, and ethics needed for a career in conservation and ecotourism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on instruction in ecology, wildlife tracking, and guiding skills
- Mentor students to develop the knowledge, confidence, and ethics needed for a career in conservation and ecotourism
- Provide immersive, field-based training
- Create a supportive learning environment
Requirements
- FGASA NQF4 guides
- FGASA Trails Guide certification
- Current Advanced Rifle Handling Guiding experience
- Current National Diploma in Tourism (NDT) Registration
- Current PDP (desirable)
- Current FGASA Membership
- Excellent administration skills
- Must be a natural leader who commands respect
