About the Role

HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join their team at a luxurious 5-star Game Lodge in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. As a key member of the hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Kitchen
  • Manage inventory
  • Oversee food preparation
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff
  • Monitor quality of food
  • Monitor Store and health & safety regulations

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in similar positions
  • A La Carte service for 165 pax including buffet and outdoor functions
  • Running of multiple venues
  • Effective administration
  • Creative approach to trends
  • Calm under pressure
  • Detail orientated (refined)
  • Teacher/Coach conduct complimentary skills

Qualifications

  • License: Daily requirements (KRA) – Running of kitchen, Recipe and product knowledge, Ensure completion and quality execution of prep-list, Approve and polish dishes before going to Guest (Final check), Purchases per requirements, Invoice capturing, Stock take, daily and month-end reporting.
  • Manage repair & maintenance prevention program per equipment requirement: Remedy any problems or Guest complaints
  • Oversee kitchen discipline towards Chefs and Scullery Team
  • Manage any dietary requirements request from Guests.
  • Ensure all set up requirements for functions/dining complete in time.
  • Manage pass (as expeditor, cold-hot and pastry kitchen orders)
  • Control roster and update per requirements
  • Scullery and cleaning program for kitchen management

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R350 000 annually CTC
