About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the culinary vision at a luxury safari lodge perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. This is a rare, career-defining opportunity to shape a fine-dining experience that blends gourmet, international-standard cuisine with African influences, creating unforgettable moments at one of Africa’s most exclusive destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small, high-performing kitchen team
- Maintain impeccable hygiene, discipline, and presentation
- Design seasonal menus, source premium ingredients, and balance international techniques with local authenticity
- Ensure flawless service during peak guest occupancy in remote, high-demand environments
- Develop junior chefs, foster growth, and maintain high morale in a close-knit team
- Adjust menus and operations based on guest preferences and seasonal availability
Requirements
- Diploma in Culinary Arts (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Mastery of international fine-dining standards with creativity to integrate African influences into gourmet menus
- Skilled in leading a small, high-performing kitchen team
- Experience in designing seasonal menus, sourcing premium ingredients, and balancing international techniques with local authenticity

Salary & Benefits
- USD 2500 to USD 2800 per month (Net of taxes)
- A 10% employee contribution toward the NSSF is required, fully matched by a 10% employer contribution
