About the Role

An exceptional, highly professional, and results-driven Sales Operations Manager is required to work closely with the Sales Director and oversee the operational effectiveness, accountability, and performance of the sales department in Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Sales Director.
  • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the sales department.
  • Drive sales team performance, accountability, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all customer requests, quotations, follow-ups, and commitments are actioned and completed within required timeframes.
  • Allocate, track, and manage tasks across the sales team.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Analyse sales activities and identify areas requiring management intervention.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and sales processes.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with sales staff regarding outstanding actions and commitments.
  • Prepare management reports and provide recommendations to improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Assist with strategic planning, forecasting, and operational improvements within the sales function.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between the Sales Director and the sales team.
  • Ensure visibility and transparency of sales activities, performance, and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma).
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience managing and leading staff within a sales environment.
  • Proven track record of driving accountability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Strong experience in reporting, data analysis, KPI management, and performance measurement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
