About the Role
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in South Africa for high voltage infrastructure projects in collaboration with Dutch companies. As a site supervisor, you will be responsible for the full operational execution of complex high voltage substation and transmission line projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact on site for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, and will be required to provide leadership, scheduling, budgeting, quality and safety planning, and reporting to project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and budgeting for complex high voltage substation and transmission line projects
- Leading and supervising teams and stakeholder groups of up to 50 people
- Translating engineering plans into practical site execution
- Monitoring safety and risk on site
- Maintaining full project administration, including six-week planning schedules
- Coordinating with subcontractors and international partners
- Conducting quality inspections and progress reporting
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a site supervisor on high voltage substation projects (HV Substation Site Supervisor)
- 5 years of experience supervising the construction of transmission lines, pylons, or towers at 300kV or above (HV Line Site Supervisor)
- 5 years of experience in underground high voltage cable network projects of 300kV or above (Site Supervisor Cable Projects)
- Proven experience managing teams and stakeholders
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English required
Qualifications
- VCA VOL, BEI VP LS/HS Transport, NEN 3140, and NEN 3840 certification required or willingness to obtain (for HV Substation Site Supervisor and Site Supervisor Cable Projects)
- Valid driver’s licence required (for all roles)
