Our client is seeking a patent agent with 3+ years of patent counseling experience,

including preparation and prosecution experience to join the firms pre-eminent, national

Intellectual Property Departments Chemical, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Practice Group

in their Boston office.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must hold a PhD in the biological sciences (i.e. Molecular Biology,
• Biochemistry, or Genetics), Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience:

• The candidate is required to have experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications and preferably also in preparing patent opinions specifically in biotechnology or similar technology.
• Our ideal candidate will have immediately transferable skills, strong legal writing and research skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Top academics and law firm experience also required.
• To be considered, candidates must have a strong academic background and must be registered to practice before the USPTO.
