About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to lead our luxury safari lodge’s reservations department in Kruger National Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue and guest satisfaction while ensuring exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily reservation activities, including individual and group bookings
- Ensure accurate entry of all bookings into the system
- Monitor availability and maintain inventory control
- Handle amendments, cancellations, and special requests
- Maximise occupancy and revenue through effective rate management
- Monitor booking trends and forecast demand
- Implement pricing strategies in line with management
- Supervise, train, and develop reservations staff
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and guest communication
- Manage staff schedules and workflow
- Respond to guest and agent enquiries across all channels
- Build strong relationships with tour operators and agents
- Communicate special requests to relevant departments
- Prepare reservation reports and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams
- Ensure smooth coordination of arrivals, departures, and VIP guests
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience in hotel or lodge reservations
- Strong knowledge of reservation systems (PMS) and booking platforms
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
