About the Role
A well-established Luxury Lodge in Mpumalanga is seeking an experienced Maintenance HOD to take full responsibility for maintenance operations and facilities management across the property. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the lodge, maintaining infrastructure reliability, and upholding high standards of safety and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a maintenance team effectively
- Manage resources responsibly
- Respond swiftly to operational challenges in a lodge environment
- Execute and manage preventative Maintenance programmes
- Oversee water plant operations, pumps, filtration, and water quality
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise maintenance resources
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance HOD or senior maintenance Manager within a lodge or Resort setting
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, water systems, and general facilities maintenance
- Demonstrated experience executing and managing preventative Maintenance programmes
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising, training, and performance-managing teams
Qualifications
- Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Architecture)
