About the Role

A leading industrial and manufacturing organisation is seeking a tech-savvy problem-solver to join their team as a MIS Administrator Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company’s MIS environment, ensuring systems stay fast, secure, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company’s MIS environment, including databases, networks, patch management, and cloud technologies
  • Create scripts in VB.net, HTML, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, A+, or other languages as required
  • Ensure internet security and data privacy principles are adhered to
  • Utilize excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills to troubleshoot issues
  • Expertly manage computer hardware, including PCs, servers, and VMs
  • Configure Microsoft Active directory Domain controllers and VMWARE virtual technologies and backup methods
  • Possess beneficial experience with Linux systems like Kubernetes and network infrastructure

Requirements

  • Min 3-5 years working experience in a relevant field
  • Proven working experience as an IT / OT Administrator, System Administrator or relevant experience
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), patch management and cloud technologies
  • Ability to create scripts in VB.net, HTML, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, A+ or other language
  • Internet security and data privacy principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Expert in Computer hardware: PC’s, Servers and VM etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active directory Domain controllers
  • Experience with VMWARE virtual technologies and backup methods
  • Beneficial experience on Linux systems like Kubernetes
  • Beneficial experience Network infrastructure, Network Setup and Fire-Wall configurations

Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • National Diploma/ BSc/BA: Information Technology: Computer Science or related
  • Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus

Salary & Benefits

Cost to company salary of up to R960K per annum, depending on experience and ability.
