This is a remote position.

Job Title: Network Technician Experience: 35 Years Location: Africa (Onsite / Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a reliable Network Technician with 35 years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure. The role requires strong technical fundamentals, practical troubleshooting skills, and entry-to-mid-level network certifications. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and support network hardware including routers, switches, and access points Perform basic configuration and maintenance of LAN and WAN networks Monitor network connectivity and respond to incidents and outages Troubleshoot network, cabling, and connectivity issues Support firewall, VPN, and wireless network operations under guidance Perform network upgrades, patching, and equipment replacements Maintain network inventory, documentation, and cabling layouts Coordinate with network engineers and vendors for issue resolution Required Skills & Qualifications 35 years of experience as a Network Technician or IT Support role Strong understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN) Hands-on experience with cabling, patch panels, and network devices Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing systems Ability to follow SOPs and work independently or in a team Certifications Network+ (N+), CCNA, or equivalent network certification (mandatory) Nice to Have Basic knowledge of wireless technologies and network security Exposure to cloud or virtual networking environments Experience supporting remote or distributed users Work Mode Onsite: Africa-based locations Remote: Available based on role and operational requirements
