Operations Manager | Cape Town | Surf Club We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OPERATIONS MANAGER to oversee the day‑to‑day running of a dynamic, member‑focused surf lifesaving club in Cape Town’s Clifton. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse operational portfolios including sports, education and duty, commercial activities, and administration. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement operational plans across sports competitions, training programs, and duty rosters. Coordinate logistics for events, including equipment, catering, and venue management. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Manage hospitality services, apparel sales, and venue hire, driving growth in commercial revenue. Supervise casual staff and volunteers, ensuring efficient scheduling and performance. Maintain accurate records including asset registers, financial reports, and supplier schedules. Provide weekly and monthly operational reports to the committee. Uphold high standards of housekeeping, maintenance, and member service. Candidate Requirements Qualification in Hospitality or related field. Minimum 5 years’ post‑graduate operational management experience. Strong background in facilities management and customer service. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with POS systems advantageous. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively. South African ID Remuneration & Hours Competitive basic salary with travel allowance. Bonus structure linked to commercial portfolio growth. In‑season working hours include evenings, weekends, and public holidays; out‑of‑season hours are reduced.
