Job Description
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on samples in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and laboratory equipment for analysis.
- Record and report test results accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and/or laboratory logbooks.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, procedures, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organisation of the laboratory work area.
- Assist with sample collection, labelling, and storage where required.
- Report abnormal results, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or N3 Technical Mathematics.
- Physical Science is advantageous.
- A National Diploma in Chemistry or related field will be an added advantage.
