About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Floor & Bar Manager to join our busy, vibey restaurant in Cape Town Central. As a key member of our management team, you will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, focusing on strong leadership skills and experience in managing a busy restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Capable of running service
- Understand the food that is being served
- Train and roster their staff compliment
- Manage the following departments: Waiters / Runners / Baristas / Cleaners / Reception & hostesses
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal Certificate or Diploma (advantageous)
- At least 3 years running a busy restaurant or bar
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on and service-driven
- Financially aware, understands costings, cost of goods
- Detail-oriented in financial tracking, administration and management of the bar and service
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification (e.g. Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric)
