Job Description

NEW WORK IN at a top tier clean energy company specializing in solar power solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients on a global scale. Originally based in Zurich with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, you will work on par to international standards; contributing to the global transition toward renewable energy and help combat climate change.

The current need is for a passionate and talented Python Software Developer who will be monitoring AWS services, improving the monitoring infrastructure and contributing to the vision of global engineering teams to deliver end-to-end product features.

This is your big chance to work on innovative projects that contribute to a more sustainable planet by harnessing solar energy.

This is what you need to land an interview:

  • You have 5+ years development experience with a keen interest and core focus in Python
  • On the front end you are skilled in React and TypeScript
  • 3+ years of system design and delivery using AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Native Architecture and Microservices; an ability to leverage Cloud Native Architecture, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture
  • Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
  • Experience with data modeling and database schema design
  • Experience with Gitlab pipelines and/or GitHub Actions for CI/CD
  • Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable distributed SaaS products using Python, React, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, emphasizing TDD and code reviews
  • By nature, you are a problem solver and a critical thinker with an ability to make decisions amidst uncertainty
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while leveraging digital coworking tools
  • Detail-oriented and a creative problem solver
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (essential)
