About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Kuils River, Western Cape. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. With a strong focus on fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, we require a skilled technician who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of our clients’ facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Fault-finding and breakdown diagnostics on refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
- Maintenance of cold rooms, freezer rooms, chillers, multiplex systems, and high back units
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Attending standby calls and responding to breakdowns when required
- Maintaining accurate job and service records
- Providing professional service to clients on-site
Requirements
- Qualified Refrigeration Technician (Trade Tested / relevant certification)
- Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in the refrigeration industry
- Proven experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Experience working with:
- High back refrigeration units
- Multiplex systems
- Cold rooms and freezer rooms
- Chiller units
- Air-conditioning systems
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence
- Sober habits and excellent health
