About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Risk and Analytics Manager to join our Risk & Analytics department. This is a strategic role that leverages data and analytics to drive customer strategies, optimize credit portfolios, and enhance overall company performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of retail credit portfolios, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities to optimize performance.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to manage customer risk, improve collections, and support growth initiatives.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights, recommendations, and reporting for senior management and the Board.
- Monitor key risk indicators, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to integrate risk analytics into business strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis.
Requirements
- Relevant postgraduate degree in mathematical or statistical subjects preferred; B. Com or Business Science degree acceptable.
- 8+ years’ experience in consumer credit analytics, with proven ability to implement solutions based on analytical findings.
- Strong experience in retail credit risk management and portfolio analytics.
- Advanced numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar).
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration, leadership, and project management skills.
