About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead anti poaching and reserve security operations within a prestigious private reserve in Greater Kruger, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of wildlife and guests, while maintaining strict legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead anti poaching units, K9 teams and patrol deployments
- Oversee control room, surveillance systems and perimeter monitoring
- Ensure compliance with Firearms legislation, PSIRA and environmental laws
- Manage firearms, equipment, vehicles and K9 readiness
- Conduct audits, reporting and incident investigations
- Liaise with SAPS, neighbouring reserves and conservation authorities
- Lead, train and manage security and ranger teams
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in conservation or security operations, ideally in a Big Five reserve
- Relevant qualification in Security Management, Conservation or similar
- PSIRA registered
- Business Purpose: Firearm Competency and valid firearm licence
- First Aid Level 1
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong knowledge of Firearms Control Act, NEMBA and related legislation
