About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior 2D Spine Animator to join our fast-growing online slots studio, where you will play a key role in transforming static art into polished, dynamic animations that captivate players. As a remote position based in South Africa, you will be working with a global team to deliver top-tier entertainment in the regulated iGaming industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Animate characters, symbols, and UI elements at a senior/technical level using Spine 2D
- Implement animations for seamless integration into game engines
- Create both stylised and realistic animations depending on project needs
- Optimise assets for file size and performance in online/mobile environments
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to maintain cohesive visual quality
- Contribute to rigging workflows, advanced Spine features, and technical animation solutions
- Maintain structured, well-documented files for smooth team handovers
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a Spine 2D Animator, preferably in iGaming/online casino games
- Strong portfolio showcasing polished casino/iGaming animations
- Deep understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual polish
- Experience with technical implementation and exporting animations into production pipelines
- Skilled in asset optimisation for performance
