About the Role
Join our team as a Senior Field Guide in one of Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes. As a seasoned guide with extensive experience in Big 5 areas or high-end lodge environments, you will lead immersive game drives and bush walks, sharing expert knowledge and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. With a strong focus on conservation, hospitality, and responsible tourism practices, we seek a passionate and professional individual to join our guiding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct immersive and educational game drives and bush walks, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests.
- Mentor, support, and train junior guides and trackers, contributing to their development and growth.
- Contribute to conservation initiatives, instilling a passion for nature and upholding responsible tourism practices.
- Maintain and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the bush, wildlife, and local ecosystems.
- Assist with the maintenance of game drive vehicles and guiding equipment.
- Foster strong relationships within the guiding team, upholding professional standards, and representing the lodge positively.
Requirements
- FGASA Level 2 (or higher)
- Full Lead Trails Guide qualification
- A minimum of 3-5 years of guiding experience in a Big 5 area or high-end lodge environment
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP)
