About the Role
Our client, E-Merge, is seeking a highly capable Senior Software Developer to join their team in Cape Town. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for building scalable solutions while shaping our technical direction. You will work across our ecosystem to become a truly cross-functional engineer, mentoring and guiding a talented team of developers, advising on architecture and DevOps, and playing a leading role in designing and evolving our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud services in AWS using Terraform and Python
- Build custom front ends with modern JavaScript frameworks, including Vue.js, and native Android
- Maintain and enhance apps in Zoho Creator (Deluge)
- Work across our ecosystem to become a truly cross-functional engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI
- Hands-on experience managing databases, compute infrastructure, and external integrations
- Experience with Vue.js or UX design is a strong plus
