Hospitality and Outdoor – Field Guide / Lodge Anchor Couple Karoo Game Reserve Introduction Hospitality and Outdoor is recruiting an exceptional Field Guide or Field Guide/Lodge Anchor Couple for a prestigious Karoo Game Reserve renowned for its highly personalised safari experiences. This unique reserve is home to remarkable wildlife, including tigers and cheetahs, offering guides an extraordinary opportunity to work beyond traditional Big Five environments. Guides will lead intimate, highquality game drives (maximum six guests per vehicle) and engage guests through a strong photographic safari focus. This role is ideal for passionate, experienced professionals seeking a dynamic and immersive guiding experience with outstanding guest interaction. Requirements FGASA; CATHSSETA NQF2 or equivalent qualification Registered with the National Department of Tourism Valid PDP Valid First Aid Ideally 2635 years old Solid guiding experience on Big Five reserves Strong guest engagement and communication skills Passion for wildlife, conservation & personalised guiding Photographic knowledge/skills advantageous Camera settings, equipment, lighting, angles, etc. Photo/video editing skills optional, but beneficial for content creation ***We also welcome promising junior/upcoming guides who show strong potential. Duties Conduct exclusive, tailored game drives with a maximum of six guests per vehicle Deliver highquality wildlife interpretation and exceptional guest hosting Engage guests in photographic guiding where applicable Assist with lodge hosting responsibilities (for Lodge Anchor roles/couples) Maintain and promote the reserves conservation and guestfirst ethos Ensure guest safety and adherence to professional guiding standards Optional involvement in social media content creation Package Salary Ranges: Field Guide / Lodge Anchor Couple: R25,000 – R35 000 (depending on experience & structure) Included Benefits: Livein accommodation Stocked kitchen for guides during the day Dinner prepared by lodge staff Free Wi-Fi Communal lounge & dining areas Access to staff gym Access to a dam for camping, kayaking & fishing during off time
