About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee maintenance on our commercial farm, including technical aspects such as diesel mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the agricultural industry and be comfortable with hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee workshop operations and maintenance of commercial farm equipment
- Supervise and coordinate technical tasks, including diesel mechanical and electrical work
- Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed
- Ensure 24/7 operation of farm, including packhouse
Requirements
- Qualified diesel mechanic with relevant experience
- Supervisory experience in a similar industry or role
- Strong understanding of the agricultural industry
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Physical ability to perform manual labor
Qualifications
- Formal education in diesel mechanics or related field (e.g. National Diploma)
