About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing and Sales Manager to drive the sales and marketing strategy for our strata control products in the mining sector across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic leadership and direct customer management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for strata control products, expanding our customer base in the mining industry.
- Directly manage a portfolio of key clients while mentoring and supporting the sales team in handling other accounts.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to position our products effectively in the mining sector.
- Provide technical advice and product demonstrations to clients, showcasing the benefits of our strata control solutions.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, setting sales targets, tracking performance, and providing strategic guidance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including mining engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
Requirements
- Experience in the underground mining sector.
- Strong knowledge of cable anchors and associated support systems.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, and marketing within the mining industry.
- Ability to engage with mining professionals, understand technical challenges, and offer appropriate solutions.
- Experience in leading and managing a sales team, setting goals, and driving performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing; or, Bachelor’s degree in Rock Engineering, Mining, Geotechnical or other Engineering discipline with a post graduate diploma in Marketing.
