Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team at Steelpoort, with a strong background in plant maintenance and operation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining critical equipment such as slurry pumps, grinding mills, and gearboxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment
- Maintain and repair grinding mills and gearboxes
- Ensure efficient operation of plant systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals
Requirements
- Minimum N3 certificate and Grade 12
- Certified Trade Test Certificate Fitting (Section 13 or 26D)
- Minimum 5 years related industry experience
- Plant experience is advantageous
- Experience in maintaining slurry pumps, grinding mills, gearboxes
- Code 8 drivers license
