About the Role
Imizizi is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and roles in a highly secure and regulated environment. You will also be responsible for deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS and Azure, as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles in a highly secure and regulated environment
- Create, manage and operate Ansible Automation Platform objects such as templates, credentials, workflows etc
- Consult users to assist with migrating automation workloads to Ansible Automation Platform
- Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure, as well as implement security controls and compliance requirements
- Create, manage and operate IaC with Terraform
- Perform operating system and Ansible Automation Platform lifecycle management
- Interact with Enterprise GitHub for version control and Git branching strategy
- Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met
- Forecast and plan for resources, infrastructure, and licenses for the team in coordination with the Product Owner and Line manager
- Assist to ensure stability of systems and adherence of the team to BMW Group’s Operations standards
- Ensure quality and up to date content of the knowledge base for the sub-product
- Manage Problem, Incident and Change process for dedicated ITSM service
- Keep documentation up to date in all relevant systems (e.g. as is configuration CMDB/Application Instance Wizard, to be configuration Connect IT, knowledge database resolveIT)
- Attend and moderate operation meetings
- Coordinate external contractors
- Manage security vulnerabilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of configuration management and automation experience
- Minimum of 4 years of ITIL work experience
- Minimum of 4 years of Scrum work experience
- Minimum of 6 years of operating system administration work experience
