Job Description
Primary Function – Business Development & Sales:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for equipment and on-site services.
- Leverage existing client relationships to generate immediate sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Drive revenue growth through both once-off projects and long-term service contracts.
Primary Function – Client Relationship Management & Market Expansion:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients within your portfolio.
- Understand client needs and position solutions effectively.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Expand footprint beyond traditional markets into new industries.
- Attend industry events, expos, and networking platforms.
- Identify emerging market trends and opportunities.
Secondary Function – Technical Solutions & Reporting:
- Promote capabilities in on-site machining, cutting, and specialised engineering services.
- Provide clients with fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure feasibility and delivery.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
- Report on sales performance, opportunities, and market insights.
- Track KPIs and deliver against agreed targets.
What you’ll need
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales within Engineering, Mining, Oil & Gas, or Industrial services.
- Established network within relevant industries is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and/or on-site services.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and grow revenue.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
