About the Role
Michelle Cloete Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an ambitious Financial Manager to lead our finance function in our fast-scaling environment for two divisions: Agri and Retail. As a key member of the executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s next phase of growth. We are looking for a driven go-getter who thrives on momentum, accountability, and strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Ensure a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Allocate responsibilities effectively and ensure consistent delivery against deadlines.
- Build and structure a scalable finance function aligned to rapid business growth.
- Take full ownership of the finance function across the business.
- Oversee monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and multi-entity variance analysis.
- Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and financial accuracy.
- Guarantee the integrity, completeness, and timelines of all financial information.
- Drive scenario modelling and forward-looking strategic analysis.
- Prepare and present board-level reporting and financial insights.
- Identify financial risks, growth opportunities, and key performance trends.
- Oversee tax compliance, including Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and statutory submissions.
- Design and manage tax structuring that supports scalable growth.
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors.
Requirements
- CA/CIMA/SAIPA advantageous.
- At least 5 years relevant experience or 3 years post articles experience.
- Tax experience would be advantageous.
- Exposure to multi-entity environments would be beneficial.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Experience in Xero would be advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution ability.
