About the Role
A renowned wine estate in the heart of Stellenbosch is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations across the property. The estate produces exceptional wines in a historic and picturesque setting, and operational excellence is critical to its success.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all maintenance activities across the estate.
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including training and performance management.
- Maintain all estate equipment, machinery, and infrastructure in optimal condition.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
- Manage maintenance budgets and maintain accurate records of work orders and repairs.
- Coordinate with vineyard, cellar, and hospitality teams to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Source and manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or estate maintenance management, preferably in hospitality, agriculture, or wine estates.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license; own transport advantageous.
