About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for driving sales growth and revenue across surgical devices and equipment to hospitals and healthcare professionals in the Western Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets
  • Budget and plan sales of full range of surgical instruments and products to hospitals and related healthcare professionals
  • Promote current and new products, identifying new business opportunities
  • Demonstrate a consistent work methodology focused on achieving targets (high energy, committed self-starter)
  • Goal setting and tracking
  • Internal collaboration
  • Promote products for use in theatre
  • Provide reports on progress on continual basis (weekly, monthly etc.)
  • Manage all sales activities on internal system in alignment with organisation’s medical sales and marketing tools
  • Take ownership of consignment stock
  • Maintain a scrub rate
  • Maintain a call rate as per the organisation’s targets
  • Implement sales plan
  • Grow existing business
  • Manage customer relations at all levels in the designated territory

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Related qualification (medical related)
  • 3-5 years medical device sales experience
  • 1 -2 years theatre experience
  • Good experience of both formulary and non-formulary items (Private & public Hospitals)
  • Computer literate (Complete MS Word suite)
  • Practical experience regarding hospital procurement systems and processes (Private and public Hospitals)
  • Experience targeting surgical operators as potential clients
  • Theatre (scrub in) experience demonstrating equipment to surgeons
  • Own transport and valid drivers license

Salary & Benefits

R600k TCTC p/a plus commission
