Receptionist

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional service throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with warmth, kindness and professionalism upon arrival and departure

• Provide information about the estate, facilities, art collections and experiences

• Conduct guided estate tours for guests

• Operate the telephone and switchboard, directing calls appropriately

• Assist with general enquiries and refer guests to the relevant departments

• Compile and update data relevant to reception activities

• Communicate restaurant bookings and relevant information to appropriate departments

• Keep management informed of any guest concerns or feedback

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification; hospitality certificate is advantageous

• Preferably 12 years reception or front-of-house experience

• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills

• Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication abilities

• Team player with good organisational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Availability to work flexible hospitality hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

• Well-presented, enthusiastic and able to maintain professionalism during long hours
