Senior Accountant required for a reputable company based in Stutterheim
Minimum requirements
- Valid drivers license
- Relevant accounting qualification/ experience/ articles
- Proven working experience as a senior accountant including team management
- Solid understanding of Accounting Principles
- Spreadsheet experience (good knowledge of excel/ formulae etc.)
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Min 10 years experience preferably within a Manufacturing concern
- Sage experience preferential
- Power BI reporting experience preferential
Job Description
Financial Accounting
-
Manage and resolve audit queries, working closely with the CFO throughout the audit process

Prepare trial balances, general ledgers, lead schedules, consolidations, and measurement and disclosure requirements for annual financial statements

Maintain and oversee accounting systems, including control accounts, trial balances, general ledgers, asset registers, and sub-ledgers

Ensure accurate and efficient accounting processing across all relevant accounts and records
Management Accounting

Compile monthly group management accounts and financial reports

Plan, coordinate, and support management in the preparation of budgets, including calculations and forecasts

Prepare and perform medium- and long-term forecasts, including scenario and what-if analyses

Plan and compile capital budgets, including CAPEX and financing requirements
Financial Management
-
Manage cash flow, cash management, and payment processes to support operational and strategic needs
Staff Management
-
Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a collaborative culture aligned with group values
