MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Trade Certificate in Fitting & Turning Minimum of 5 years of plant maintenance experience in food industry Minimum of 5 years of Turning and Machining experience Code 08/B drivers license Forklift driver’s license advantageous Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous Experience with Tool and Parts Management Computer literacy Experience in ARC, TIG and MIG welding advantageous RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain plant equipment Perform plant maintenance during the shutdown period Understand and interpret new drawings and manuals Install new machines and equipment as and when instructed Responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant Do regular inspections of plant equipment Give feedback to Maintenance Engineer on breakdown root cause analyses Attend to all relevant breakdowns during standby period Complete DMS Work orders and Work order book to keep a record of work completed Apply for parts by making use of the requisition procedure Operate the Leathe and Milling machine to manufacture parts and spares Employee management and development Ensure overall compliance to relevant procedures and policies Ensure that all team members have clearly defined job profiles Regular goal reviews are completed to assess achievement of results Support, coaching and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands Ensure adequate succession planning in order to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirements
