About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher in Space Science to join our team in Hermanus, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced research and development in a space science related field, with a focus on publishing research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and contributing to national and international research collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research and development in a space science related field
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals
• Develop and participate in national and international research collaborations
• Present lectures, seminars, and research findings
• Contribute to postgraduate student development and supervision
• Participate in outreach and science advancement initiatives
• Assist with research administration and project activities

Requirements

• Strong analytical and research capabilities
• Excellent scientific writing and publication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Programming skills, preferably Python

Qualifications

PhD in Space Science, Space Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering
