About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at AF Consulting in Hermanus. As a key member of our research office, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects across their full lifecycle, from contracting and planning to tracking, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. This is a challenging role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate externally funded research grants, academic events, research visits, cross-institutional collaborations, and internal improvement projects, both locally and internationally.
- Work closely with senior academics, postdoctoral fellows, and postgraduate researchers, as well as administrative support staff across different locations.
- Provide operational and administrative support to the research office as required.
- Assist with proposal development, including coordinating inputs, planning, and budgeting.
Requirements
- Solid experience coordinating projects from planning through to delivery and reporting.
- Confidence working with budgets, timelines, funder requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Clear communication skills with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to integrate multiple inputs into coherent plans, reports, and proposals.
- Strong organisational judgement and attention to detail.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role. However, a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
