About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Head Guide to lead our guiding and safari department at our Luxury Safari Lodge in Limpopo. As a senior guide, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of safety and operational oversight, and driving staff development within our premium Hospitality and Safari industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guiding standards and ensure compliance with FGASA guidelines
- Provide expert guidance on safaris, conservation practices, and departmental administration
- Develop and implement training programs for junior guides and staff
- Foster a culture of safety, hygiene, and exceptional guest service delivery
- Collaborate with other departments to drive inter-department collaboration and values-driven Hospitality
- Manage departmental administration, including budgeting and firearms control
Requirements
- FGASA Level 2 Guide qualification with Full Trails (essential)
- Valid Trails Guide qualification
- ARH, Rifle Proficiency, First Aid Level 2
- Driver’s Licence
- Previous experience as an Assistant Head Guide or Head Guide within a luxury Safari lodge
