About the Role
A well-established, large Multi Franchise Dealership is looking for an experienced Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a Red Seal certificate to join their commercial trucks division as a permanent, full-time position. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert diesel mechanic services to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex fault finding, diagnosing, repairing and basic auto electric work on commercial vehicles
- Use diagnostic tools and software effectively to troubleshoot issues efficiently and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a high level of quality in all work performed
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets and improve dealership performance
Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Red Seal certificate
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in senior roles
- Prior experience in a dealership environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in fault finding, diagnosing, repairing and basic auto electric work
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal certificate (no formal education mentioned)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable plus commission. Benefits Package is negotiable and market-related salary with very attractive commission structure, Pension Fund, Medical Aid, Funeral and Life cover, 13th cheque bonus based on performance.
