About the Role
Our client is a leader in the manufacturing sector, supplying a wide range of products to major industries. They are known for their high-volume production environment and commitment to operational efficiency. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, placing and expediting purchase orders, and supporting forecasting and demand planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock trends, forecasts, and inventory levels to determine replenishment needs
- Generate purchase orders based on system demand and minimum order quantities
- Maintain inventory levels to support production and service delivery while avoiding excess stock
- Expedite overseas and local purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to support forecast accuracy
- Optimise order quantities to improve stock turnover and reduce holding costs
- Maintain accurate master data in procurement and ERP systems
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain OR similar is highly advantageous
- 25 years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning, or supply chain operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple product lines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Completed tertiary qualification in supply chain OR similar
