About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef/Lodge Couple to join our 5-star Lodge in Waterberg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a flair for creating exceptional dining experiences. This is a unique opportunity for a culinary expert to lead a team of chefs and provide exceptional service to high-net-worth clients. As part of the package, the successful candidate will be part of an attractive couple arrangement, offering a chance to balance work and personal life with a partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute 3 meals per day, including afternoon tea, bush breakfast, and 5-course wine tasting
- Manage staff training, menu development, ordering, and fine-dining presentation
- Cater for special dietary needs, including gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal, and nut/seafood allergies
- Thrive in a remote environment with a hands-on, flexible approach
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Executive/Head Chef in luxury hospitality
- Proven ability to lead and train staff, with strong leadership, communication, and training skills
- Expertise in menu development, ordering, and fine-dining presentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
